PURPOSE: To calculate the optimum output power of a generator by forming chromosome based on the information including the present power output value and carrying out an hereditary operation for the hereditary algorithm to output the electric power at the least cost.
CONSTITUTION: The information on the upper and lower limit power values that can be generated and the output power of generators 1a-1c are transmitted from these generators at each fixed time. An output power optimizing device 10 normalizes those output information to set at random a prescribed number of population in an initial state of the hereditary alogithm and encodes the output information corresponding to the population. Then only the data strings corresponding to the generators are connected together to form the chromosomes in number equal to the population among those encoded data strings. Then a hereditary operation is carried out, and the chromosomes are separated into bit strings and decoded. Thus the chromosomes are evaluated based on the conversion information. Then the end optimization is decided when all evaluation values of chromosomes are included in a prescribed rage. Then each optimum output value of generators 1a-1c is displayed on a CRT 15.
