Title:
OPTOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6355979
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a device having excellent optoelectric transducing efficiency comparable to that of inorganic material, by forming an optical active layer by a Langmuir-Brodgett method, thereby obtaining an optoelectric transducer having the excellent optoelectric transducing functions. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 11 of an optoelectric transducer, an optical active layer 21 is formed by a Langmuir-Brodgett LB method. A pair of electrodes 15 and 17 are provided at both end parts of the active layer 21. A protecting layer 19 is formed on the active layer 21. The electrodes 15 and 17 are connected to an external circuit with lead wires. Another optical active layer 25 is laminated in addition to the optical active layer 23. The active layers 21 and 25 which are formed by the LB method are made to be monomolecular films or monomolecular cumulative films. A hydrophorbic part and a hydrophilic part are included in the molecules of an organic compound used for the LB method. The excellent optoelectric transducing functions are provided in the optoelectric transducer, and the transducing effect comparable to that of an organic material is imparted to the device.
