PURPOSE: To keep the high frequency performance after completion in a high level by coupling an optoelectronic component and an optical fiber as simply, compactly, and firmly as possible.
CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber 28 has an end part 29 inserted to a connection hole 32 of a substrate of a hybrid optoelectronic element or the like and is fixed to the substrate 2 by holding means 36 and 38. The light reception part of an optoelectronic component (for example, a photo diode) 8 is brought into contact with the end face of the fiber 28 through a hole for coupling of a conductive track 22 and is fixed in such position that the optical coupling efficiency is maximum. The optoelectronic component 8 is connected to the other conductive track 24 by a short metallic wire 26. Conductive tracks 22 and 24 are connected to an electronic element in the succeeding stage on the same substrate to constitute the hybrid optoelectronic element.
