Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic coagulant capable of forming excellent coagulation floc having high settling velocity at the time of being used for coagulating industrial waste water containing a suspended material, which is generated in the industrial field of paper and pulp, automobile, iron and steel, laundry, gravel or the like, and to obtain supernatant water having stable low turbidity by using the organic coagulant.
SOLUTION: The organic coagulant contains a cross-linking type diallyl dimethyl ammonium halide polymer having a diallyl dimethyl ammonium halide unit as an effective ingredient. In such a case, the coagulating method of the waste water is by adding an inorganic coagulant into the waste water so that the zeta-potential of the waste water becomes -50 mV to 20 mV and after that, adding the cross-linking type diallyl dimethyl ammonium halide polymer and further an anionic high polymer coagulant.
