Further, an organic compound of the second aspect comprises a main chain which comprises repeating units containing a charge-transporting material on the main chain part of the repeating units, wherein the at least two luminescent materials are non-conjugated to each other, and the main chain and/or the luminescent materials have thereon one or more substituents selected from specific groups. The organic electroluminescent element of the present invention has at least a pair of counter electrodes and a single or multiple organic compound layers sandwiched between the electrodes, wherein at least one of the organic compound layers contains the organic compound according to the present invention.
