Abstract:
To provide an organic EL device capable of preventing deterioration in display quality and occurrence of a pixel defect due to gas generated from an organic flattening layer, and a method for manufacturing the organic EL device.
In the organic EL device, a gas barrier layer 53 is formed on a flattening layer 41, and a through hole 46 penetrating through an inorganic partition wall 43 to reach the flattening layer 41 is formed in the gas barrier layer 53 and the inorganic partition wall 43.
