There are provided an anode layer 21 and a cathode layer 22, a red light-emitting layer 43, a blue light-emitting layer 45, and a green light-emitting layer 46 arranged between the anode layer 21 and the cathode layer 22, and an intermediate layer 44 arranged between the red light-emitting layer 43 and the blue light-emitting layer 45. The intermediate layer 44 contains a hole transport material, an electron transport material, and a light-emitting material, and at the same time, the energy level of at least one of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbit out of the materials constituting the intermediate layer 44, is higher than those of the red light-emitting layer 43 and the blue light-emitting layer 45.
