To provide a method of manufacturing an organic EL element which can reduce loss of a luminous brightness, a luminous efficiency and a lifetime, and can display with a fine uniformity, and to provide the organic EL element manufactured by the same.
The method of manufacturing the organic EL element includes: pixel electrodes; insulating layers; an organic luminous medium layer containing two layers of a hole transport layer and an organic light emitting layer; and opposite electrodes. If the method includes the step of printing a hole transport ink in which a hole transport material is melted or scattered in a solvent from a protrusion of a relief printing plate to the pixel electrode existing between the insulating layers by a relief printing method within a luminous area, to form the hole transport layer, for example, the hole transport materials different for each color in such a way that a difference between the hole transport material and a luminous material in an ionization potential (IP) is 0.2 eV are dividedly coated.
