Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic thin film EL panel giving little damage to the picture elements of the organic EL panel and capable of being made fine and colored by a simple method.
SOLUTION: An organic luminescent material is laminated between a pair of opposite electrodes at least one of which is transparent or translucent in this manufacturing method of an organic EL panel. A photoreceptor having a charge generation layer 3 and a charge transportation layer 4 is formed on the transparent electrode 2 side, and the photoreceptor is electrified and exposed to form an electrostatic latent image. An exposure section or a nonexposure section is developed with a powder developer, and separating barrier ribs made of the electrified powder developer are formed. A luminescence layer, an electron transportation layer 13 and a cathode are uniformly deposited by a vacuum deposition method, the developer used for the separating barrier ribs is removed by transfer after deposition, a layered product of the luminescence layer, an electron transportation layer 13 and a cathode is selectively removed together, and picture element formation is made after luminescence pattern formation and cathode separation.
