Abstract:

To provide an organic EL element that is formed of two light emitting layers made of phosphorescent light emitting compound and has high efficiency and long service life.

Two light emitting layers contain a phosphorescent light emitting compount represented by general formula (1), wherein R1 is a substituent, Z is a non-metal atom group, n is an integer, B is C, N, O or S, M is metal of 8-10 group, X is C, N or O, L is an atom group forming a bidentate ligand, and m is an integer.
