Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000315576
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To precisely and efficiently carry out patterning formation of a thin film layer including a light emitting layer made of an organic compound at least and a second electrode by forming a positioning mark having a light absorbing/reflecting characteristic on a board.

An organic electroluminescence element uses a glass material for a board 10, for example, and uses an ITO transparent electrode as a first electrode 11, desirably. A light absorbing/reflecting characteristic of a positioning mark is more intensive than that of the first electrode 11, and in consideration of recognizability by naked eyes and detectability by a machine, a light absorbing/reflecting ability of 20% or more in a visible light region is preferable. Using the glass board 10 coated with the ITO transparent film, the first electrode 11 is patterned, and then, an insulating layer 12 is patterned while positioned to the first electrode 11. In this process, simultaneously the positioning mark can be formed by using a part of the insulating layer 12.
