Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having an increased power efficiency, and excellent emission lifetime and temporal stability, and a display device and a luminaire, both having the organic electroluminescent element.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element comprises: an anode, a cathode, and a plurality of organic layers including a light-emitting layer between the anode and the cathode. The light-emitting layer contains a compound expressed by the general formula (1). Of the organic layers adjacent to the light-emitting layer, at least one layer contains a compound containing a fluorine atom. [In the general formula (1), A represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or N-R; Rto Reach represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent group; and at least one of Rto Ris a fluorine atom or a substituent group containing a fluorine atom.]
