Abstract:

To provide an electroluminescence element having a low drive voltage, and having a low drive voltage and high light-emitting efficiency.

An organic electroluminescence element has an organic compound layer including a luminous layer between a pair of electrodes. The organic electroluminescence element contains a compound expressed by the general formula I in the organic compound layer. In the formula, Z1, Z2, Z3and Z4express an atom selected from carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, and oxygen required for forming an unsaturated 6-membered ring skeleton each. When the atom can be substituted, the atom may have a substituent. R1expresses the substituent.
