Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010114232
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an organic electroluminescence (EL) element capable of using a cathode having resistance to oxidation, without the use of an electron injecting material, such as LiF.

The organic electroluminescence element comprises a pair of electrodes, comprising anodes and cathodes and a plurality of organic compound layers comprising at least a light-emitting layer and an electron transport layer between the pair of electrodes. The electron transport layer includes at least one kind of boron compound expressed by expression (1), and the work function of the cathode is not less than 4.0 eV.
