Title:
Organic electroluminescence element
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5919726
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having an improved hole injection property between a hole transport layer and a luminous layer, a long life, and excellent preservation properties, such as heat resistance and light resistance, in a non-light emitting state, without increasing density of a phosphorescence emitting dopant in the luminous layer.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element comprises at least: a luminous layer which contains a host compound and a phosphorescence emitting dopant compound; and a hole transport layer which is arranged adjacent to the luminous layer and contains a hole transport material. In the organic electroluminescent element, a relationship between the highest occupied molecular orbital of the host compound, HOMO(H), and the highest occupied molecular orbital of the hole transport material, HOMO(HT), satisfies 0≤HOMO(H)-HOMO(HT)≤0.42, and the density of the phosphorescence emitting dopant compound in the luminous layer is 3 to 5 vol% with respect to the host compound.
