To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of obtaining sufficient luminous efficiency, and a manufacturing method of the same.
A luminous layer 4 is made of a polymer material with an electron transport property soluble in an organic solvent. The same skeleton is contained in a repetition unit of a polymer material constituting the luminous layer 4 and that constituting an electron transport layer 5. As the polymer material constituting the luminous layer 4, a polymer material with a larger molecular weight than that constituting the electron transport layer 5 is selected. As the organic solvent dissolving the polymer material constituting the luminous layer 4, an organic solvent with a larger specific dielectric constant than that dissolving the polymer material constituting the electron transport layer 5. The electron transport layer is preferred to contain a polymer material having a hole blocking property.
