To provide an organic electroluminescent device and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of preventing deterioration of light-emitting elements, increasing light taking-out efficiency, and securing high definition and wide angle of view, and to provide electronic equipment.
The organic electroluminescent device includes an element substrate 20A equipped with a plurality of light-emitting elements 21 sandwiching a light-emitting layer 12 between a positive electrode 10 and a negative electrode 11, and a sealing layer covering the plurality of light-emitting elements 21, and a sealing substrate 31 disposed opposite to the element substrate 20A and equipped with a plurality of colored layers 37 and a black matrix layer 32 to partition the plurality of colored layers 37. The element substrate 20A and the sealing substrate 31 are bonded together with a circumferential seal layer 33 provided on the circumference of the element substrate 20A and the sealing substrate 31, and a translucent adhesive layer 34 provided in the pixel area inside the circumferential seal layer 33 and having a lower elasticity than the circumferential seal layer 33.
