Abstract:
To provide an organic EL element and its manufacturing method, with complexity of manufacturing processes prevented and with quality degradation restrained.
The organic EL element includes a first electrode layer, an insulating film 3 arranged on the first electrode layer 2, an organic layer 4 arranged on the insulating film 3 and in contact with the first electrode layer 2 at an opening fitted to the insulating film 3, a second electrode layer 5 arranged on the organic layer 4, and a metal layer 6 in contact with an end face of the organic layer 4 and that of the second electrode layer 5 and arranged on the second electrode layer 5.
