Abstract:
To provide an organic EL element (particularly a blue phosphorescent light-emitting element) which has high luminous efficiency and a long emission life and is free from defects such as a change in emission color with time, and to provide a lighting device provided with the same, and a ptycene-based compound meeting specifications of the organic EL element.
The organic EL element comprising one or more organic layers including a light-emitting layer between a pair of electrodes is characterized in that at least one of the organic layers contains at least one of ptycene-based compounds represented by the following general formula 1 or 2.
