Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000068057
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an organic electroluminescent(EL) element securing superior color stability and having long service life and high luminous efficiency.

In an organic EL element 7, constituted by sandwiching plural organic luminous layers 83, 84 with a positive electrode 71 and a negative electrode 72, the organic luminous layers 83, 84 are laminated such that their ionization potential grows larger from the positive electrode 71 in the direction towards the negative electrode 72. The electron affinity for organic luminous material of at least one of the luminous layers 83, 84 is set at more 2.6 eV, and plural kinds of fluorescent materials having different colors are doped into the organic luminous layers 83, 84. Thereby, electrons and positive holes can be recombined in the organic luminous layers 83, 84, which improves color stability and luminous efficiency, and prolongs the service life of the element.
