Abstract:

To provide an organic EL element having a high luminous efficiency and superior durability.

The organic electroluminescent element has at least two layers of luminous layers between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and includes a luminous layer A which contains an electron transporting light-emitting material and a hole transporting host material and in which the concentration of the electron transporting light-emitting material gradually increases from the positive electrode side toward the negative electrode side, and a luminous layer B which contains a hole transporting light-emitting material and an electron transporting host material, and the concentration of the hole transporting light-emitting material gradually decreases from the positive electrode side toward the negative electrode side.
