Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [Rf is formula II (R1 to R7 are F or CnF2n+1; n is 1-3), formula III (R8 to R12 are F or CnF2n+1; n is 1-3) or formula IV (R13 and R14 are F or CnF2n+1; R15 is CnF2n+1; l is 1-9; m is 0-24); X is -O-, -S- or -COO-; h is 0 or 1; R is phenylene, aliphatic alkylene with an alkylene having ≥10 total carbon atoms, etc.; M is -OH, -COOH, -SH or -CONH2].
USE: A surfactant and dispersing agent for dispersing various metals, fine fluorinated carbon particles, etc., into various resins, etc.
PREPARATION: For example, a halide having a fluoroalkyl derivative residue is reacted with a carboxylic acid ester having an ω-alkenyl group in the presence of an organic peroxide to afford a compound expressed by formula V, which is then heated together with Zn dust in HCl/ethanol and subsequently hydrolyzed to provide a long-chain alkylcarboxylic acid having a fluoroalkyl terminal group.
