Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase light extraction efficiency of blue light.SOLUTION: The organic light-emitting element includes: a reflection anode 2; a transparent cathode 8; an organic light-emitting layer 6 that outputs blue light; a first functional layer disposed between the reflection anode 2 and the organic light-emitting layer 6; a second functional layer disposed between the organic light-emitting layer 6 and the transparent cathode 8; and a coating layer disposed over the transparent cathode 8. The first functional layer is 0-316 nm in optical thickness. The layer in the second functional layer adjacent to the transparent cathode 8 is 0.1-0.7 in refractive index difference from that of the transparent cathode 8. The transparent cathode 8 is 0-70 nm in thickness, 2.0-2.4 in refractive index, and 0-168 nm in optical thickness. The layer in the coating layer adjacent to the transparent cathode is 0.1-0.7 in refractive index difference from that of the transparent cathode 8.
