Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain the org. nonlinear optical material having a large cubic nonlinear optical constant by using a specific compd. having two carbon-carbon double bonds and nitrogen-contg. heterocycles. CONSTITUTION:The org. nonlinear optical material consisting of the compd. expressed by formula I. In the formula I, R<1> is formula II (where t is 4 to 6 integer) or -CH2CH2OCH2CH2-; R<2> is 1 to 3C alkyl group; X is selected from -O-, -S-, -Se-, and -CH=CH-; Y is formula III, -CH2C(CH3)2- or single bond; n is 1 to 4 integer; m is 0 or 1; Z<-> is the anion selected from Cl<->, Br<->, I<->, formula IV, CH3SO4<-> and ClO4<->. The excellent characteristics of the large cubic nolinear optical constant and the extremely high nonlinear response are obtd. in this way.
