Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an organic pigment dispersion based on a fluorocopolymer and having an organic pigment, such as carbon black or phthalocyanine blue, favorably dispersed therein.

CONSTITUTION: An organic pigment dispersion consisting of a fluorocopolymer, an organic pigment and an organic solvent, wherein the fluorocopolymer consists of fluoroolefin monomer units (a) units (b) of a monomer comprising a vinyl ester of an 8 or 9 alkyl monocarboxylic acid, units (c) of a monomer comprising a vinyl ester of monocarboxylic acid having a 1-5C alkyl group, and other radical-polymerizable monomer units (d), with the contents of the units (a), (b), (c) and (d) respectively being 35-60mol%, 1-15mol%, 10-40mol% and 0-50 mol% based on the total of these units.
