Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic sensitizing dye improved in durability.SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell 40 includes: a photoelectrode 20 in which a porous semiconductor layer 24 containing a sensitizing dye is provided on a transparent conductive substrate 14; a counter electrode 30; and an electrolyte layer 26 interposed between the photoelectrode 20 and the counter electrode 30 and containing an electrolytic solution. The organic sensitizing dye has a structure in which a donor moiety and an acceptor moiety are bonded together. The acceptor moiety has an anchor group represented by a formula (1) (where Ris hydrogen or an electron-withdrawing group, at least one of Rto Ris a carboxy group, and others are hydrogen).
