To prepare an org. soln. for preventing static electricity which is excellent in drying characteristics and in application workability or handling, and which is used for forming a coating film having excellent antistatic properties, coating film properties and appearance, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.

This org. soln. for preventing static electricity is an org. soln. comprising an ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer neutralized with a metal ion, an alcohol-type additive and an org. solvent, wherein the ethylene- unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer neutralized with the metal ion is a resin in which an ethylene-unsatd. carboxylic acid copolymer (A) having 10-35 wt.% of the unsatd. carboxylic acid is neutralized with potassium ion in an amt. corresponding to 70-100 mol% of the amt. of the carboxylic acid in the copolymer, the alcohol-type additive is selected from the group consisting of an alkanolamine, glycerol and a polyethylene glycol having a mol.wt. of ≤250, and the additive is contained at a concn. of 0.1-9 wt.% based on the copolymer (A).
