Title:
ORGANIC WASTE TREATMENT EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3915217
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the concentration efficiency of sludge and to improve the decomposition efficiency of organic waste by mixing fibrous waste in organic waste with sludge extracted from a methane fermentation tank.
SOLUTION: In organic waste treatment equipment, for instance, sludge extracted from a methane fermentation tank 1 of organic waste is mixed with at least one part of fibrous waste in organic waste to be concentrated in a sludge concentrating machine 2, and the obtained concentrated sludge is sent back to the methane fermentation tank 1. Namely, the organic substances contained in the organic waste fed into the methane fermentation tank 1 are decomposed into methane and carbon dioxide by anaerobic bacteria, the fibrous waste is added to the fermented sludge of the methane fermentation tank 1 to be concentrated in the sludge concentrating machine 2, and the concentrated sludge is sent back to the methane fermentation tank 1. Thus, high sludge concentration in the methane fermentation tank 1 can be maintained to improve the decomposition rate of the organic waste.
