To enhance treatment efficiency by holding an anaerobic zone of an organic wastewater treatment apparatus to low oxygen concentration and to reduce the installation area of the organic wastewater treatment apparatus.
The organic wastewater treatment apparatus is equipped with a treatment tank 9 for treating organic wastewater 10, a horizontal partition member 11 for vertically dividing the treatment tank 9 excepting both end parts in the longitudinal direction thereof to form an aerobic zone 23 and an anaerobic zone 25, a wastewater charging port 13 for charging organic wastewater 10, a treated water discharge port 15 for discharging the supernatant water of the organic wastewater 10 of the treatment tank 9 as treatment water 31, and an aeration device 17. The organic wastewater 10 flowing in the aerobic zone 23 is brought to an aerobic atmosphere, the action of aerobic bacterial becomes active by oxygen supplied to the organic wastewater 10 in the aeration device 17 and ammonia in the organic wastewater 10 is oxidized to become nitric acid. The organic wastewater 10 flowing in the anaerobic zone 25 from the aerobic zone 23 is brought to an aerobic atmosphere without being affected by oxygen in the atmosphere, the action of anaerobic bacteria becomes active and nitric acid formed in the aerobic zone 23 is denitrified by a reduction action to become a nitrogen gas.
