Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an expanding tool body from being caught on the peripheral wall surface of an endoscope channel, living body conduit, etc., by installing an insertion part which is elastically deformable and inserted into the coil gap of the expanding tool body on the outer peripheral surface of a balloon.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer peripheral surface of a balloon 3, insertion parts 7 which are elastically deformable and inserted into the coil gaps 4a,... of a stent 4 are projectingly installed. The insertion part 7 is made of the rubbery elastic material such as silicone and polyurethane and formed to a spiral form having the nearly same shape to the coil gap 4a,... of the stent 4 so as to fill the coil gap 4a having a spiral shape of the stent 4, and integrally fixed through adhesion, etc., onto the outer peripheral surface of the balloon 3. When a catheter 2 on which the stent 4 is installed is inserted into an endoscope channel in curved form, clamp erecting board, a living body conduit in bent form, etc., the unevenness of the coil gap of the stent is prevented from being caught on the peripheral wall surface of the endoscope channel, living body conduit, etc., by the insertion part.
