Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound having excellent heat-resistance and flame- retarding effect and useful for flame-retardant, etc., free from problems of deterioration and discoloration of resin in processing.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [R1 and R2 are 1-8C alkyl or (substituted)6-12C aryl; A is bond, alkylene or (OCH2CH2)n ((n) is 1-5)], e.g. the compound of formula II. The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting a compound of formula III (X is halogen) with a compound of formula IV in the presence of an organic base (e.g. triethylamine) in an organic solvent. A flame-retardant resin composition can be produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a resin with 0.1-100 pts.wt. of the compound of formula I.
