NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [R1 and R2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, etc.; with the proviso that at least one of R1 and R2 is alkyl; A and B are ammonia, lower aliphatic amine, or A and B are bonded to form diamine shown by the formula II (R3WR6)].
EXAMPLE: p-Methylbenzylsuccinato-(cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane)platinum (II) complex.
USE: An antitumor agent.
PREPARATION: For example, an aqueous solution of a platinum complex such as cis-dichloro-(cis-1,2-diaminocyclohexane)planium(II), etc. shown by the formula III(Q is halogen) is reached with preferably 1.1W1.2mol based on the complex of silver nitrite at 20W60°C. Precipitate is filtered off from the reaction mixture to give a filtrate, which is reacted with 0.5W0.7mol based on 1mol compound shown by the formula III of a compound such as sodium p-methylbenzyl-succinate shown by the formula IV (M is alkali metal) at 10W60°C, to give the aimed substance as crystalline precipitate.
