PURPOSE: To obtain an oriented thermoplastic film having excellent transparency, lubricity and abrasion resistance and a small number of coarse protrusions, by adding a high-silica zeolite having a specified mean particle diameter to an oriented thermoplastic film.
CONSTITUTION: This oriented thermoplastic film contains 0.005W1.0wt.% high- silica zeolite particles having a mean particle diameter of 0.05W5.0μ. It is desirable that high-silica zeolite particles in which the rate of Al2O3 to SiO2 is 0.1W10wt.% are used as said high-silica zeolite. It is desirable that high-silica zeolite particles having an areal rate to a circumscribed circle of at least 60% [said areal rate is defined by the equation: areal rate to a circumscribed circle = (projected sectional area of a particle/area of the circle circumscriving the particle) × 100] are used as said high-silica zeolite particles.
