After starting reproduction of edited data in a tape streamer 412 before recording the edited data of specified volume in a hard disc 420, the tape streamer 412 reproduces the edited data at a rate of 1MB(megabyte)/ sec, for example, and stores the edited data in a data converter 44. After a specified volume of data is recorded, the hard disc 420 reproduces the edited data recorded on a hard disc 422 at a rate of 1.5MB/sec, for example, starting from the heading data while recording the edited data reproduced from a tape recording medium 3 in parallel. The reproduced data is supplied to an original disc and written therein.
