Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automate the function setting such as picture edition by applying original document processing based on the coordinate by the 1st means detecting the coordinate of the original document and mark information by the 2nd means detecting a mark in the original. CONSTITUTION:Four points coordinates X1, Y1-X4, Y4 are detected by applying pre-scanning to the optical system when the main scanning direction is taken as X and subscanning direction is taken as Y from a reference coordinate SP on the original platen. Then a rectangular area surrounded by Y3, Y2 and X1, X4 is selected as a mark read range of the original document from the coordinates detected by the original document such as a hatched part. When the original document coordinate detection is finished, the optical system is at a point of Ymax in the subscanning direction and since the mark read start point Y2 and the end point Y3 are known, a CPU 211 starts the detection of white peak/black peak based on the count scanning line synchronizing signals corresponding to distance (Ymax-Y2). Then the main scanning line synchronizing signals are counted by a distance (Y2-Y3) from the point, the mark reading is finished and after the main scanning line synchronizing signals are counted by the distance Y3, the restoration is stopped.
