To provide a printing method by which an image can be printed with laser exposure based on image information and without development process using an original plate for lithographic printing with high resistance to plate wear which is free from the generation of flaws due to handling or the like in a plate making process and a grave trouble.
This original plate for lithographic printing is constituted of a hydrophilic layer and an imaging layer formed, in that order, by coating on a plastic film support. In addition, the original plate has at least one or more kinds of spherical porous fillers, projecting more than the film thickness of the imaging layer, which are contained in the hydrophilic layer and a thermally meltable particle contained in the imaging layer. In this constitution, the height of the filler projecting most compared to the film thickness of the imaging layer being given as "h"(μm) and the oil absorption complying with JIS K5101 being A(ml/100g), the conditions 0.2<h<10 and 5.0<A<280 are satisfied.
