Abstract:
To provide an original plate for planographic printing which keeps the non-printing face almost free from ink stain and its production method.
This original plate has an image-receiving face to which an image is imparted by transfer or direct patterning and has water-soluble or water-swellable resin particles of 10-50 μm average particle diameter carried on the image receiving face in a state, in which the resin particles can be dissolved or swollen in water. The image-receiving face is a surface which is hydrophilic or is made hydrophilic by post-treatment after image formation.
