In an original position testing method for evaluating a chemical influence of timbering M1 laid on a test tunnel GT, base rock E1 surrounded by a cylindrical member 1 in required depth is isolated from peripheral base rock E2 by inserting the cylindrical member 1 from the inside of the test tunnel GT to the natural ground E. Pore water pressure at least on a tip part of the cylindrical member 1 is measured and ground water flowing into the base rock E1 isolated by the cylindrical member 1 is sampled; and therefore the base rock E1 in the required depth is isolated and the influence of geological environment such as states of the peripheral base rock E2 or ground water can be controlled.
