PURPOSE: To judge that a person using a device still uses it or is finished to use when the operator leaves from the device and to operate an original forgetness warning system or a sheet forgetness warning system when the completion of using is judged.
CONSTITUTION: An image forming device 5 is provided with an image information reading part, an original forgetness detecting means, a warning means issuing warning when the forgetness of an original is detected, and a detecting means 6 detecting the fact that an object finished to use the device 5 leaves from within a prescribed range in the vicinity of the device. It is judged that the object whose leaving is detected is finished to use the device 5 or not, based on a detection signal from the detecting means 6 and when it is judged that the leaving of the object is after the use of the device is completed and the original forgetness detecting means detects the forgetness of the original, the warning is issued by the warning means.
