PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily confirm the originality of an electronic file.
SOLUTION: This method uses a document managing system 10 for managing an electronic file (f) and a history managing system 20, which is connected to the document managing system, for managing the history of the electronic file, when the electronic file as a guarantee object of originality is inputted to the document managing system, the summary value of the inputted electronic file is found, the provided summary value is held in the history managing system and the inputted electronic file is held in the document managing system. In such a state, when the confirmation request of originality is inputted concerning the electronic file, it is decided whether a summary value newly found from the relevant electronic file in the document managing system and the relevant summary value in the history managing system are coincident or not and when the decided result shows the coincidence of two summary values, a certificate C is issued with the descriptions the relevant electronic file is not falsified and the relevant electronic file is a latest version.
