Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door with light-blocking property and sealability on which a small window can be installed and coloring can be carried out at the desire of a customer at low cost.SOLUTION: A folding door uses a gear hinge 31 that comprises gears 33, 34, and arms 37, 38 and has a structure in which adjacent two panels 11, 21 are rotatably connected. The gear hinge 31 is installed on an upper part and a lower part of a border between the panels 11, 21. A columnar member 61 is installed between the upper and lower gear hinges 31 through a case 51. The columnar member 61 comprises: right and left outer marginal parts 64 with circular arc faces 67 that face lateral end faces of the panels 11, 21; and a central part 62 connecting the outer marginal parts. The central part 62 is thinner than both outer marginal parts 64 in a depth direction. An outer surface of the central part 62 is formed into flat, which makes coloring easier. The central part 62 is hollow and a small window 63 can be installed by inserting a translucent plate 69 into the hollow part. A light-blocking property and sealability can be improved by thickening the outer marginal part 64.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
