To provide an ornament by a pottery with excellent decorative properties in which an arbitrary three-dimensional shape can be easily and stably obtained regardless of technologies of producers and pottery materials used, and the size can be appropriately changed in accordance with its usage.
The ornament 1 by the pottery is prepared by successively laminating and fixing a plurality of pottery plates 2 with required shapes through spacers 3 so as to constitute a required three-dimensional body. The required three-dimensional body is vertically cut and divided at equal intervals in a definite direction to obtain a plurality of cut faces. Then, a matrix is prepared by using the shapes of the cut faces, and successively, by using the matrix, plate-like bodies of a potter's clay are formed. The plate-like bodies are fired to obtain a plurality of the pottery plates 2. Then, a plurality of the pottery plates 2 are successively laminated and fixed through the spacers 3 so as to constitute the required three-dimensional body.
