Title:
ORNAMENTAL BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1023910
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve the added value of a pearl by notching a recessed part on the surface of pearl, attaching and fixing a metallic pedestal having a flange- shaped part to be overlapped while being protruded from the inner peripheral edge onto the surface of pearl at the notched recessed part and holding a jewel or a noble metal through pawls or a cover ring onto the pedestal.

This ornamental object is composed of the pearl, metal pedestal attached and fixed to the pearl and sapphire held by this pedestal. At the section of a pearl layer on the surface of pearl, the recessed part of prescribed diameter is formed by notch working. On the other hand, since the pedestal is sized and formed so as to be fitted to the inner periphery of the recessed part formed on the pearl and the flange-shaped part communicated to that inner peripheral edge is formed, the sapphire is held at the center surrounded with this flange- shaped part while suitably protruding its upper part. The pedestal holding sapphire is fixed to the recessed part formed on the pearl so as not to be detached by an adhesive agent such as an α-cianoacrylate adhesive agent.
