This box type ornamental coffin 1B comprises a box-shaped body 2B storing a dead body and a lid body 3B covering the box-shaped body and attached with a pattern 2a beforehand in an end face in the head side. As for patterns 4a, 5a and 5b which are selected by the request of the client, a sheet 5 formed by printing the patterns 5a and 5b is applied to the upper face of the lid body 3B and a sheet 4 formed by printing the ornament pattern 4a is applied to the front face of the body 2B.
