To provide an ornamental plate capable of suppressing the reduction of the smoothness and waterproof property of its surface even by using much regenerated kraft paper as a core material layer, and also suppressing the reduction of curving processability and heat resistance in a postforming use and capable of withstanding for practical uses.

This ornamental plate is provided by using a regenerated kraft paper having 120-210 g/m2 unit weight and ≥30 mm/10 min degree of water absorption, impregnating a resin into the kraft paper so as to eliminate air contained in the paper layer so as to hold ≥35 wt.% phenol resin based on the total weight and 7-15 wt.% volatile component based on the total weight in a resin-impregnating process of the regenerated kraft paper. Thereby, it becomes possible to provide the practical ornamental plate by utilizing the regenerated kraft paper as a substitute.
