Abstract:
To provide an ornamenting method forming an ornamental pattern having an excellent feel of color and excellent glossiness, changing in color tone according to the seeing direction and being rich in the three-dimensional effect and an ornament formed by the method.
The method comprises coating a to-be-ornamented material with a paint containing a polarizing pigment consisting of a scale-like base material covered with a magnetic material and applying a magnetic force to the paint in an uncured state to attract the pigment with the magnetic force and orient the pigment in the direction of the line of the magnetic force so as to form a pattern.
