To improve the abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and chemical resistance by forming cutting groove sections on a base surface to be bonded to a tooth fang surface.
The orthodontic bracket is constituted of a base section 1, a supporting section 2, a guide groove 3, guide wing sections 4, cutting sections 5, and cutting groove sections 6, and the base section 1 forms an entire bonding surface. Since the cutting groove sections 6 are formed on opposite edges on the rectangular base 1, a metal mold can be used and the bracket can be formed from injection molding. When a frame is provided on a recess section to be formed as the bonding surface, intensity of the bracket itself can preferably be improved. Thereby a bonding area becomes smaller by the frame section, however a surface inequality of the bonding surface can be remained after polishing. A medium does not directly polish the bonding surface in a barrel polish after roughening the bonding surface with a corrosive solution. Surface roughness without uncomfortable feeling can be realized thereby.
