Abstract:
To provide an orthogonal antenna device capable of obtaining maximum reception strength according to the polarization plane of an arrival radio wave and an angle of the polarization planes of two antennas forming an orthogonal antenna, and a reception signal synthesis method thereof.SOLUTION: An orthogonal antenna device 1 includes: a first antenna 11; a second antenna 12 orthogonal to the first antenna 11; a phase-shifter 13 for adjusting the phase of a reception signal of the first antenna 11 and the phase of a reception signal of the second antenna 12 so that the phase of the reception signal of the first antenna 11 matches the phase of the reception signal of the second antenna 12; and a synthesizer 14 for synthesizing the reception signals with phase adjusted of the first antenna 11 and the second antenna 12 at a synthesis ratio adjusted according to a ratio of levels of the reception signals of the first antenna 11 and the second antenna 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
