Abstract:
PURPOSE: To displace right and left rear wheels of an oscillating type vehicle in the breadthwise direction of a vehicle body at cornering.
CONSTITUTION: A power unit P having a pair of right and left rear wheels Wr is right and left oscillatably supported through an oscillating joint 6, to a bracket 5 rotatably supported on a body frame 1 through a swing shaft 4 inclined forward upward. A battery 10 as a drive source of the power unit P is loaded on a battery supporting frame 9 as a weight part combined with the bracket 5. When the bracket 5 is inclined in the outside direction of turning centering around the swing shaft 4 by centrifugal force applied on the battery supporting member 9 during turning, an oscillating joint 6 above the swing shaft 4 by a distance δ1 is moved in the outside direction of turning, and the power unit P having the rear wheels Wr is displaced in the dreadthwise direction of the body. Hereby, miniaturization of the treads of right and left rear wheels Wr suspended on the rear body, and enlargement of the weight part of the rear car body can be realized.
