Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator, a dielectric line device and a transmitter which are made to be free from such a problem as the size increase, mass- productivity deterioration, or cost rise resulting from the installation of a special temperature compensating circuit, etc.
SOLUTION: An oscillator is constituted in such a way that a dielectric plate 3 on which a line 5 having a prescribed length is formed is arranged against conductor plates 8 and 9 holding a Gunn diode 1 so that the oscillation output of the diode 1 may be taken out through the line 5 and, at the same time, the temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant of the dielectric plate 3 is set to such a polarity that suppresses the variation of the oscillation frequency of the diode 1 against temperature fluctuation.
